What do you do at a sweet sixteen?

So I'm 15 and going into my sophomore year of high school and I'm going to have a sweet sixteen, most of my friends have birthdays that are later in the year so I've never been to one, what do you do? What kind of place should I have it at? How many people on average do people invite? Who do you invite? Just like everything I need to know to plan (btws I have 10 months to plan)

im planning a quinceanera. i realized that a quince and a sweet 16 is sorta the same. okay so first thing is you have your dress, tiara, jewlary. and heels. most people have it at a reseption hall. like in a hotel they have one, or any other place. on avrage you should invite 75-100 people. you invite your family and your friends. (when i mean family i mean your cousin, aunts, uncles, grandparents, and every one else.) if they are out of state, and you have the reception at a hoetel thats a great combo. some hotels give you discounts for guest that have to stay. back to the party- you need a dj/mc, you need food, favors (small gifts like candy or somthing), dance floor, candles. centerpieces, photo & veidographer, limo, guest book. those are some of the things that came up in my head. so your probably wondering why you need a limo. you need a limo because its going to take you and you court to the reception. whats a court? its your court of honer. 7 girls 7 guys and an escort for you =15 plus you =16. but you can also have it 15 boys plus you or 15 girls plus you. you need to dress your court. the girls wear all the same dress and the boys were the same thing too (tux, dress shirt). you need to give them a token (neckalace that says your name ect). and the way you could tell them that they are in your court. you could send a letter sayind "congratulation! youve been chossen to participat in (your name)'s court of honor for her sweet 16 (somthing like that). so back to the party. these are some dances that you do. walts, father daughter dance, and a suprise dance. you can go on youtube and look up some videos ( sweet 16 walts, sweet 16 suprise dance ect). you have a candle ceromony. you have 16 candles and you deticate each candle to some one speacial in your life. thats is all that i can think of right now. sorry that its all over the place. if you have any more question you can email me at [e-mail] thanks :)
