If it's okay to say "Happy Pearl Harbor Day" and "Happy Memorial Day", then why do people get mad if someone says "Happy 9/11"? It's my little way of pointing out the hypocrisy of forgetting the true meanings of Pearl Harbor Day, Memorial Day, and Good Friday, but when I say "Happy 9/11", folks look angry enough to rip my head off. How come they can't see my point, my sarcasm, my freedom of speech?
I mean, if it becomes a federal holiday, in decades to come, people will spend their time eating barbecue, or spend their time on one last time to the beach for the summer, as the harsh memory fades of what happened in New York City that day. Am I right?
