Here's one that nobody could mess up (unless you bake it for to long) and taste's delicious, a guaranteed hit with anyone! Simply go to the grocery store and buy some toll-house pre-cut chocolate chip cookies or similar (the ones that come in squares of dough that you break apart and bake) Also be sure to buy a bag of those mini Reese's peanut butter cups (the ones that are about the size of a quarter.) Now all you have to do is pack the cookie dough into a mini-muffin pan, you may want to break each dough cube in half if 1 cube seems like to much for your pan. Next hollow out a hole in the center of the dough with your thumb and place 1 peanut butter cup inside. Once all the cookies have the candy placed in the center your ready to bake them (should finish baking in less then 14 minutes) the chocolate covered peanut butter cup will melt into the cookie and the results are fantastic! You can also try covering the top of the peanut butter cup with more dough if you'd like to surprise your family and friends. Hope you enjoy this easy to make treat and have a great holiday!

A Christmas Cake

white cake mix

white frosting

candy canes

coconut

green food coloring

Its simple and easy but looks great and tastes pretty good too.

I always make the cake in a bunt pan just because its that much more feistive. frost it like always then in a air tight jar or bowl put oh about 1 cup of coconut and a few drops of the food coloring shake it up nice and well until all the coconut is covered. Sprinkle the cake with the coconut then crush the candy canes and sprinkle those on top allowing them to drip down over the bottom of the plate..

nice and simple but yet very very feistive. Have fun and Merry Christmas.

A great Christmas treat is a plate of warm chocolate cookies. Here are the instructions off the top of my head:

Mix 1 cup white sugar, 1 cup brown sugar, 1.5 teaspoon vanilla extract, 1 cup softened butter, and 2 eggs slowly for 30 seconds and quickly for another 30 seconds. Then, while mixing very slowly for 2 minutes, add 3 cups all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon table salt, and 1 teaspoon baking soda. While mixing slowly for 15 seconds, add 12 ounces of chocolate chips. NOT optional: add some love. Now use a spoon to put the dough onto 3 baking sheets to make 36 cookies. You need to bake it at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for about 11 minutes.

This is a great treat for your family, and it's pretty easy because I just recalled it from memory!

if you want easy, try Rachael Ray's Christmas fudge wreath. She made it on 30 minute meals last year. It is no fail. I know, I am no fudge expert-mine never turns out (and I don't know why as I am a great cook and baker) but this turns out.

Five Minute Fudge Wreath

1 (12-ounce) bag semisweet chocolate morsels

9 ounces (3/4 of a 12-ounce bag) butterscotch morsels

1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 (8-ounce) can walnut halves

1/2 cup (a couple of handfuls) currants

8-inch cake pan, lightly greased with softened butter

Candied cherries, red and green, for garnish, optional

Place a heavy pot on the stove and preheat it over low heat. Add chips and milk and stir until chips are melted and milk combined. Save the empty condensed milk can. Stir in vanilla and remove fudge from heat. Add nuts and currants and stir in immediately.

Cover empty condensed milk can with plastic food wrap and center it in the greased cake pan. Spoon fudge into pan around can, making sure to recenter can if it drifts.

The fudge will set up almost immediately. Garnish can only be added in the first minute or 2 the fudge is in the pan, so work quickly. Decorate your wreath with "holly" made from cut candied red and green cherries. A wreath left plain can be garnished with a pretty fabric bow when serving. Chill covered in the refrigerator and slice fudge very thin when ready to serve, a little goes a long way.

Add green food coloring to the marshmallow/butter mixture for Rice Krispie Treats. Instead of using Rice Krispies, use cornflakes. When the treats are still in the saucepan but cooled just a bit, turn the mixture out on waxed paper. Fashion the mixture into wreath shapes. Before the wreaths cool completely, put cinnamon candies (the little ones that come in cake decorating containers like sprinkles) inside some of the flakes and fold the flakes over them to hold them in place when they cool. You can tie red ribbon around the tops to hang from the tree. These travel well too.

Microwave Fudge

3 Cups semisweet chocolate chips ( or any flavor you want)

1 - 14 ounce can sweetened condensed milk

1/4 Cup butter or margarine

1 Cup walnuts ( or any kind you want)

1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Place all ingredients except the nuts in a bowl.

Microwave at medium until the chips are melted, 3 to 5 minutes.

Stir once or twice during cooking.

stir in nuts

pour into well greased,8x8 pan

Place in the refrigerator until set.

This is real ez to make and has always set up for me -where other fudge didn't.

No, but I have a treat for myself when I'm around my family.

Ingredients

1 Large Bottle of Whiskey

optional extra added ingredient

1 Case of Beer

Preparation.

For those who do not wish to take in the taste of the whiskey, simply twist the cap off of the top, and pour in to a 4 to 8 ounce cup. Repeat this process as often as necessary, or until you actually feel like leaving the television to commence in conversation.

For those who wish to appear non-alcoholic, mix in a few ice cubs and a dark cola beverage. Start by putting the ice cubes in the cup, fill the glass about a quarter of a way to the top. Pour in Whiskey. Mix with a spoon, or fork, or knife. If the first drink is too strong, drink it anyway. If it is too light, pour a little more whiskey in.

If you constantly find yourself having to go back to make this preparation throughout the day, maybe you should check to make sure that you are at the correct family's gathering spot.

This is an unusual and fun treat that I made once with my family for once Yule-Tide/Christmas season-

Rock Candy!

What you need is any kind of stick (Popsicle sticks, wooden skewers, even the cute lacquered ones with the knobs are available at craft stores), sugar, water, food colorings that you feel are appropriate for the season, and peppermint flavoring. You'll need a metal pot that you can scrape and a metal or plastic stirring spoon.

Fill the pot with water and bring it to a boil. Begin adding the sugar, stirring it so that it will melt consistently. Keep this up till it reaches the consistency of syrup. Add peppermint to flavor and coloring to desired shade. Turn heat down to a simmer.

Going one at a time, dip your sticks in the mixture, letting each coat harden. Continue this until the wanted amount of candy is on the stick.

If your mixture should harden in the pot, reheat it. If you would like to make clean extra easy, use those new Reynolds Wrap Pan Liners in the pot.

Hope you like it!

OREO TRUFFLES

1 Package Oreo cookies, Finely Crushed

1 (8oz.) Package Whipped Cream Cheese

1 Pkg Wilton’s Dark Chocolate pieces (Buy at Any Craft Store)

1 Pkg Wilton’s White Chocolate Pieces, or any color (optional)

1. Crush the Oreo cookies in food processor or blender.

2. Mix the crushed Oreo cookies with the whipped cream cheese until it forms a solid ball. (Blends best if you use your hand instead of a spoon).

3. Form the mixture into 1 inch balls, or any size you like.

4. Put the balls into the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes or in the freezer for at least 10 minutes.

5. Melt the entire bag of Wilton’s chocolate either in a double boiler or the microwave for 1-2 minutes. Do not add butter to the chocolate when melting.

6. Roll the oreo balls in the chocolate and place on rack to dry. Work quickly, one ball at a time, because the chocolate hardens fast! Re-melting the chocolate may be necessary about halfway through.

7. Decorate the tops with the second color. To decorate the truffles with the second color, you can use a Ziploc freezer bag as a small pastry bag. Put the melted chocolate in the Ziploc bag. Cut the corner of the bag and use the bag to pipe the second color on top of the truffles.

NOTES:

– Wilton’s also makes tools for handling the dipping and rolling of the truffles. You can also use a meat fork (two prongs). It is best not to use a regular fork.

– Instead of using a second color as decoration, you can reserve some of the Oreo crumbs in which to roll the truffles. Alternatively, you could roll the truffles in cocoa powder.

Here is a great treat. Buy Betty Crocker peanut butter cookie mix. Buy some red and green candy sprinkles, the clear sugary kind.Buy some Hershey's kisses. Make the cookie mix, simple, simple, roll the dough into small balls. Then roll the dough into the sprinkles. Smoosh a Hershey kiss into the middle, bake 8-10 min. until golden and the chocolate just is melting. They are wonderful, and so simple. Your family will love 'em, and you are in and out of the kitchen in about 30 min. Start to finish. Merry Xmas!!!!

This fudge recipe is REALLY easy, and VERY good! I've been making it since I was little, it was a treat we were allowed to make since it used the microwave and not the stovetop. It's definitely a family favorite. People are always shocked by how easy it is when they ask for the recipe.

3 cups (18 ounces) semi-sweet chocolate chips (or milk-chocolate chips)

1 (14-ounce) can EAGLE BRAND® Sweetened Condensed Milk (NOT evaporated milk)

Dash salt

1/2 to 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract

In the microwave on about 70% heat for about 3min30s, melt chocolate chips with EAGLE BRAND® and salt. Remove from heat; stir in nuts (optional) and vanilla. Spread evenly into wax paper lined 8- or 9-inch square pan.

Chill 2 hours or until firm. Turn fudge onto cutting board, peel off paper and cut into squares. Store leftovers covered in refrigerator.

You can make different flavors by adding mix-ins: peppermint pieces, marshmallows, flavored chips (peanut butter, butterschotch, white chocolate, etc.)

I don't quite remember what its called, but all you need is chocolate and peppermints.

All you need to do is melt the chocolate and spread it out onto a cookie sheet. You would want the chocolate to be a little less than a quarter inch thick. Smash up the perpermints,(you can use the candy cane kind too) and just sprinkle it over the chocolate. Let it cool down, then just cut it up into bite size pieces.

This is definitely something that you could include young children in.

To melt the chocolate, I find it easiest to break them into small pieces and put them in a ceramic bowl. Then place the bowl in a larger bowl/ pot filled with boiling water.

Make chocolate chip cookies or apple pie... yes, very original, but also easy to make. If you just want to make something simple, those two treats will do. Not really on the fun side, but at least your house will have a warm holiday smell! Show your family you're ready to get into the spirit of Christmas...

People who only bake from scratch would be horrified at this, but my family is always looking for tons and tons of the cranberry, apple, pumpkin, and other breads made from the Pillsbury Quickbread mix and added to with my own choice of nuts, fruits, sugar/cinnemon, or glaze. I use a hair less water than recommended and a hair (gross, eh?) more oil than is recommended and am generous with my own choice of toppings.

I bake a bunch of them at once, cut them in half (end to end), and then slice them into small squares that I wrap in plastic wrap and leave (and keep refilling) plates of them out beginning Christmas Eve and on through the day or two after Christmas (and Thanksgiving too).

Besides seeming "holiday-ish", having them around means there's an "all you can eat" kind of thing (particularly handy for those with growing/grown sons).

I like to make a candy pie for holiday occasions.

50 Hershey's Kisses

12 miniature Reese's peanut butter cups, chopped into about 6 pieces per cup

1 large tub (1 lb.) Cool Whip, room temperature

1 small tube, M&M Minis or 1/4 cup red and green M&Ms

1 graham cracker pie crust

Divide cool whip in 1/2 and set aside.

Unwrap Kisses and melt in microwave. Do this slowly, about 30 seconds at a time or the chocolate will scorch.

Using a large mixing bowl, gently blend melted chocolate into 1/2 of cool whip. Be patient and very gentle.

Spoon 1/2 of chocolate mixture into pie crust. Sprinkle in peanut butter cup pieces and cover with remaining chocolate mixture.

Top with remaining white cool whip and chill. Garnish with M&Ms before serving.

I make this only on the holidays and the kids LOVE it!

Pretzel Ring Chocolate Treats

(Recipe from back of Better Maid Pretzel Rings)

Better Maid Ring Pretzels (or any other brand)

Hershey's Hugs or Kisses (unwrapped)

Milk Chocolate M&M's (use red/green for holiday)

Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

Cover cookie sheet with parchment paper and lay out pretzel rings. Place an unwrapped Hugs or Kiss in the center of each pretzel ring.

Bake 1-2 minutes.

Remove and immediately place an M&M in center of each Hug or Kiss, pushing down so the melted chocolate fills inside of pretzel rings.

Let set 2-3 hours (To speed up process I put cookie sheet in freezer until candy is hardened), remove from parchment paper and store in tightly covered container.

These sound complicated, but are NOT. Very Yummy!

A holiday favorite stretching back generations is:

1 bag mini marshmallows

1 bag butterscotch chips

1 cup peanut butter

1 stick butter

Lightly grease or spray a 9X13 pan. Pour the marshmallows into a large bowl and reserve. Melt together everything but the marshmallows stirring occasionally (micro is good for this, or use a double boiler); when smooth pour the mixture over the marshmallows and stir slightly then pour into the pan. Flatten slightly and allow to cool. Cut into squares and enjoy.

hard candy

2 c. sugar

1/2 c. white corn syrup

1/2 c. water

1 tbsp. vinegar

Pinch of salt

1/2 tsp. food coloring

1/2 tsp. flavoring

In a heavy saucepan, stir the sugar, syrup, water, vinegar, and salt together until the sugar is dissolved. Cook over high heat until it reaches the hard crack stage (340 degrees F. on candy thermometer). Remove from fire and add coloring and flavoring. The candy can be divided and made into different flavors, green peppermint, red strawberry, or cinnamon, yellow butterscotch, etc. When the flavorings are stirred in the candy may steam. at this point you can either pour into a flat aluminum baking pan and let harden and crack with the handle of a cake knife or pour into candy molds. dump the pieces into a bowl of powdered sugar and sift the excess sugar off the candy. (optional...used to keep from sticking together)

peppermint popcorn

3 quarts freshly air-popped plain popcorn, unseasoned

1/2 cup (1 stick) butter or margarine

1 cup granulated sugar

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 cup light corn syrup

1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract

1/8 teaspoon green food coloring

Arrange popcorn in a shallow baking or roasting pan. Melt butter in a 2-quart saucepan. Stir in sugar, salt and corn syrup. Cook, stirring constantly until sugar dissolves and mixture boils. Boil, without stirring, for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and add peppermint extract and green food coloring. Pour over popcorn in baking pan and stir to mix well. Bake in a preheated 250 degree F oven for 1 hour, stirring 3 to 4 times. Cool completely and store in tightly covered containers.

Makes about 2 1/2 quarts.

very tasty!!

its best if you make different batches for each flavor and color, but it's very simple and easy. i do it all the time.

Microwave Peanut Brittle

takes about 5-8 minutes

1.5 cups of raw, shelled Virginia peanuts (leave the skins on)

1 cup of granulated sugar

1/2 cup light corn syrup

1 teaspoon of butter

1 teaspoon of vanilla

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/8 teaspoon salt

Mix the peanuts, sugar, corn syrup and salt together in a microwave-safe casserole dish until well mixed

Cook in a microwave on high for 4 minutes; open and stir the mix well; then cook on high for another 4 minutes

Open, stir in the butter and vanilla, then microwave on high for a further 2 minutes

Finally, remove from the microwave, open the dish, add the baking soda and stir quickly until the mix is light and foamy

Immediately pour the mixture onto a lightly-greased baking sheet, spreading it out thinly.

Allow the mix to cool - then break it into small pieces and store in an airtight container.

Tip: The trick to making thin, tender peanut brittle is to keep the baking sheet(s) you use warm. I recommend heating them in a conventional oven at around 200o F (about 95o C) before you spread the peanut brittle mix. This should allow you to spread the mix 1cm to 2cm thick without it setting up.

if you want a side dish or even use it for a dessert. My mom used to make this for us at all times of the year until she passed away in 2000.

1 can condensed milk; 1/4 cup lemon juice

1 can crushed pineapple (drained); 1 can cherry pie filling

1regular size (regular ) flavor

Put in a medium size bowl, condensed milk, lemon juice, mixing well, pour in the drained pineapple, fold in the cool whip, cherry pie filling, mix well. put into a pretty bowl and chill in refrigerator for at least 2 or 3 hours. This is a easy receipt just make sure it's mixed well & chilled well it thickens up pretty good , don't worry if it's not really extra thick it doesn't thicken up that concisdensy, you must spoon it out with a spoon, it's not like soup or stew. it's like lumpy. I hope you & you family enjoy this like our famliy did. oh, you can either put red or green food coloring!!

Hope your day is very special! bye be happy...

Flan! Very easy to meke and nutritious, take a round aluminum pan [ you can get them at dollar days] deep , pour 3 or 4 tablespoons of brown sugar and one half cup cold water in , put to flame , medium, stir , stir until sugar starts turning brown , then put aside , make sure you move the pan so the caramelise sugar spreads evenly, now in blender ,put in one can carnation milk , regular , one can condense milk, one teaspoon vanilla, 6 eggs, and 8 oz, philadelphia original cream cheese, cut up in pieces so they fit in blender , stir all ,pour onto caramelise pan , place in oven at 350 degrres, and let bake for one hour or so , sometimes it takes longer , try to verify doneness with a knife , push down on flan , if it come out clean is sone if sticky wait a bit longer, it will turn brown , then put to cool for an hour or so , take a clean knife move it around pan to loosen flan a bit , place a plate over pan , then invert it , is ready to eat. Delicioso! It can also be made with only eggs , no cheese , or omit the cheese and add a can of coconut milk, you have coconut flan , . Hugs , .Merry Christmas!

K, really easy and very good cookie recipe, it's my mom's and I only make it at Christmas because it is very special:

Butter Cookies:

1/2 lb unsalted butter, softened (let it sit out until it is soft; I actually prefer to use 1 stick unsalted butter and 1 stick margarine because I think that using all butter makes the cookies too rich)

1/2 cup powdered (confectioners') sugar

2 cups flour

1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional, walnuts or pecans)

1 tsp vanilla extract (NOT imitation!!!!, spend bucks, use the real thing!!)

Cream butter/margarine and powdered sugar together until well blended; add flour, nuts and vanilla, combine well. Drop by level (more or less) teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet; bake at 325 degrees about 15-20 minutes, until just golden on top. Remove from cookie sheet; allow to cool slightly, maybe 5 minutes, and using a flour sifter or handheld strainer, sift tops with more powdered sugar while cookies are still slightly warm. A big hit, guaranteed - if anyone in your family has an allergy to nuts, the nuts can be left out and will not affect the overall qualities of the cookie.

If any ?'s, contact me through Yahoo, be glad to help, most cookie recipies are relatively easy, can be customized to suit your tastes, and can be made ahead of time and frozen or refrigerated until you are ready to do the baking!

Blessed be, and happy holidays to you and yours!

Cream cheese fudge: Melt 1 stick of butter and mix 3 oz. cream cheese into it until smooth. Add 1 pkg powdered sugar, approximately 1/2 C powdered cocoa (more or less to your own taste) and 1 teaspoon vanilla and mix until the whole thing is smooth and fluffy, then roll into logs and wrap in waxed paper. Refrigerate and slice as little or as much off of the logs as you want to eat at any given moment. This can be dressed up by adding decorations to the slices with frosting in a tube, i.e., by piping on holly leaves, etc.

Melt Almond Bark in double-boiler until it's liquidy but not molten. Remove from heat source but leave the top over the hot water to keep it liquidy.

Dip Ritz sandwiches in liquidy Almond Bark. Place on parchment paper to dry. Try not to eat it.

After dry, serve them up with a big glass of chocolate milk or hot cocoa. Delicious! You can't eat just one!

There's the classic Rice Crispy treats, brownies. Also can make a cake. Go to Michael's or any craft store, look for a tree-shaped cake pan. make a cake, get white, or vanilla frosting, color it and then add sprinkles and other small candies for decorations. look at www.kraftfoods.com and they should have some stuff too. Sugar cookies are really easy and fun too. My nephews love to decorate 'em. Happy Hol\idays, and enjoy!

Nice Q, best of the best for you through the holidays.

My own opinion, and I've never yet found anyone who wouldn't "sneak" more than just one. Fresh baked "Chocolate Chip Cookies."

Easy, fast, and so much a delight to smell as they bake. They might seem "Plain" but you can decorate the way they are offered, gifted, served, to compliment the Holiday.

Merry Christmas, to you and yours.

My aunt makes this every year.It tastes a little different but who knows...you might like it. Here's what you need

*Fruit by the Foot (any flavor)

*Twizzlers Pull and Peel (cherry)

*and rice crispie treats (homemade or store bought)

Here's what to do....

-Take 3 little peice of your twizzler (about the size of 1/2 your index finger)

-Wrap about an inch thick peice or your rice crispie treats around the twizzler (make sure that the twizzler is the same length of the rice crispie treat if the twizzler is longer, you can always cut the extra off, but if the rice crispie treat is long it's harder to fit the size. and also...MAKE SURE THE RICE CRISPIE TREATS ARE STILL A LITTLE WARM!!!)

-Then rip off a peice of the fruit by the foot and wrap it around the rice crispie and twizzler. (make sure that it's the same diameter as the entire thing)

When you done, it should look a little bit like sushi! Happy eating and Merry Christmas!

My step mom always makes these really good and easy treats, I'm not sure what they're called.

All you need are Ritz crackers, peanut butter and chocolate that melts easily for coating.

Make Peanut butter sandwiches with the crackers and roll them around in the melted chocolate. Just put them on Wax paper and put them in the fridge to speed up the process.

She uses milk chocolate, dark chocolate and white chocolate so it's a yummy variety. Before they harden, sprinkle green and red sprinkles to make them festive!

They're easy and yummy! Your kids can help make them too!

Go to RachaelRay.com. Look up the recipe for candy sussi. Its great. You make the mix for rice crispy treats (found on some marshmellow bags. Fruit roll up and twizzlers. unfold the fruit rollup and place some of the crispy treat into the unfolded fruit roll up. Place a cut twizzler in the center. Roll the fruit rollup up around the cripy treat and twizzler,so the ends of the fruit rollup touch. Let sit for a couple minutes and cut the ends. There really good. my kids love them and they are fun to make. Good luck. Happy Holiday.

By easy, you mean little or no cooking, but not purchased from a store? First choice would be "drop cookies", next Rice Krispie treats (you would have to melt marshmallows or buy the marshmallow creme). Once you get into actual cooking, fudge is a sure winner.

Heat oven to 325

Take a small pretzel, and place one rolo (candy) on top each mini pretzel, place in oven for 3 mins. (long enough to soften chocolate but not melt it totally)

When they come out of the oven lightly press and place one pecan in center of warmed rolo.

Let cool and let the chocolate reset and become firm.

Everyone thinks they taste a little bit like the turtle candy.

Enjoy!

Hint: I used a regular baking sheet, place a piece of tin foil in it, this way when I am done warming the pretzel and candy, and after I have put the pecan on the top - all I have to do is move the candy treats to a plate to cool, and throw away the tin foil making for a fast and easy treat and clean up. (A quicker way to get the candy treats to set up faster is to move them to a plate, put in refrigerator for approx. 20 minutes.)

okay what you do is buy:

pretzel rings (the circle ones)

lots of rolos

and walnuts.

then, on a cookie sheet (no wax paper, aluminum, spray, just a plain cookie sheet) lay out a bunch of those pretzels flat on the sheet.

next, put each rolo big side down into the pretzel circles.

then, put it in an oven at 350 for about 10ish minutes, check every once in a while to see if rolo is squishy, then take out.

immediately use the walnuts to squish the rolos down into the pretzels (one walnut per treat). the treat will look like a round pretzel as a border, chocolate filled with a walnut on top. They might not sound good but they really are, plus they are quick

i made them for my teacher gifts, they loved them.

Ok. Well, get some cookie dough, then before you put it in the oven, add 2 pretzels on the top of the cookie, then, choose either a hot tamale or a m&m. If you choose hot talamle, put it in the cookie, in the middle, if you choose M&M, put it in the middle AFTER you bake the cookies. Use two chocolate chips for eyes, and when you're done, YOU HAVE A RUDOLPH!

Sugar cookies, along with assorted cookies are great. Homemade is better. But you can always buy the dough and make them into little shapes.

A twist on things are always great. why not try pudding? It goes great with the carol and great with the taste buds.

I always like a fresh, homemade bread. But that is going a little over board.

This year, I am making cookies. Maybe that will work for you too?

Treats like chocolate coverd strawberries are awsome. Last year I did the strawberries and pudding. THey were great and everyone loved them.

Hope this helps. Happy Holidays.

Sprinkle the cake with the coconut then crush the candy canes and sprinkle those on top allowing them to drip down over the bottom of the plate..

You could get two differ kinds of the pre-made cookie dough. Make sure that they are the kind that are in the roll (not pre sliced.)Then take one of the types of cookie dough and make it falt. The roll up the other kind of dough into a ball and place it on the falt one. Then you take the first kind of cookie dough and make it flat also and put it on top of the cookie dough with the ball of dough on it. Press it down so it looks like ravioli. Last bake it at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes.

White Chocolate Popcorn

1 bag of microwave popcorn, popped and unpopped kernels removed

1 bag of white chocolate chips

1 bag of M&M's

Melt the white chocolate in the microwave, a couple minutes should be enough. The chips won't be completely melted, but as you stir it they will melt. Drizzle the white chocolate over the popcorn and mix it up. Spread on wax paper to cool and harden. Break up the larger clumps and place in a ziplock bag. Add the M&M's and serve.

We take semi-sweet chocolate morsels and melt them down, then take a package of Chow Mein noodles like you would use in egg drop soup and dry roasted peanuts. Mix all together then drop by spoonfuls on wax paper and let cool. This has to be done rather quickly after the chocolate melts so that all the ingredients stick together.

Buy some premade sugar cookie dough (in the same spot as the biscuts in the grocery store) and use cookie cutters to cut out your favorite shapes. Then buy a few containers of white icing and use food coloring to turn them the colors you want...frost and decorate your cookies. My family has always done this on Christmas and it is very fast and easy.

You can also make sausage balls very easily. Take 1 lb of sausage (any flavor you want) and brown. Then mix bisquick biscut mix according to the box and depending on the amount of balls you want. Last mix then bisquick and sausage with 1 cup of shredded cheese. Spoon onto a cookie sheet and bake @ 350* until brown.

get some sugar cookie dough from the store, add chopped pistachio nuts and dried cherries. Just roll the dough out flat with some flour so it doesn't stick to your hands, dump nuts and cherries in the middle, smoosh it all together. Now just follow the baking instructions on the package. They taste good and are full of green and red for the season.

Christmas Tree Brownies:

Make a tray of normal brownies. Use a Christmas tree cookie cutter to cut them into tree shapes.

If you want to jazz them up a bit, you can use vanilla icing with green food coloring and ice the brownies. Use mini m&m's to decorate your trees!

All the kids (and adults) in our family love them.

Merry Christmas.

Chocolate-covered pretzels are the bomb!!!! Simply buy some big, thick pretzels and some chocolate hardening shell topping for ice cream, and you're good to go. Put the pretzels on wax paper, smother them in the chocolate, and leave them in the refrigerator overnight. Or, you could simply buy some Hershey's chocolate bars, melt them in the microwave in a glass container that pours, and put that on the pretzels. Still leave them in the refrigerator overnight, though.

MONKEY BREAD!

I saw this on Good Morning America, made by Cindy Crawford, I've been making it every Thanksgiving Eve and Xmas Eve since.

Frozen bread dough (Bridgeford, or some other store brand). Thaw out one loaf. Once thawed, take small portions (like 1 inch), roll into a ball, dip in melter butter, roll in mixed combo of cinnamon and sugar, and drop into bundt pan. Keep doing this until all is gone. Cover with towel and let rise overnight. Next a.m., bake according to bread directions (I think 350 for 35 minutes, something like that).

Very important variations: Chop walnuts or almonds, and put those on the bottom of the bundt pan before you start dropping in your bread balls. You can also add canned fruit in between the bread balls: apple, peach, apricot. Bake as above.

Note: They now make monkey bread in the freezer section of your grocery store. Don't buy it! This is so much fun for the kids to make and do on thanksgiving and xmas eve, and makes such an easy "breakfast" in the a.m. It's one of the "memories" that they remember.

If you take pretzels and put them out on a baking dish and put rolo candy on top of each pretzel. Put them in the oven at about 250 degrees and it takes just a few minutes for them to melt. Then take them out and let them cool. It is a very easy treat.

I know something that is fun to make... but it's not really a treat. They're decorated candy canes. All you have to do it put pipe cleaners around the top like antlers, put those googly eyes on it like eyes, and put some sort of red candy as the red nose. Yay, then you have rudolph candy canes.

An easy and colorful and tasty punch can be made by combining equal amounts of club soda and cranberry juice cocktail. Served in cut-glass punch cups and with a twist of lime, it is simple to prepare and really adds a festive touch to the holiday table.

Take a bag of pretzel rings and put a chocolate hershey's kiss in the center... Put in oven at 250 just until kiss is soft... Take out and push a red, green or white M&M into center of softened kiss..so it spreads over pretzel. Let set in refrigerator to harden....Very easy, very colorful and the combination of salt and sweet is very good... I make these every year to give away... They are so easy to make..

Make Rice Krispie treats, but add the miniature M&Ms in them - it's really nice if you just use the red and green ones!

Another idea: Bake a white cake but split the batter into two bowls, color one red and one green, then mix them in the pans before baking. The flavor is still white but the colors are Christmas!

It's called a Yule Log

First, you take one of thos big choco rolls filled w/creme and take som redy whip creme and stir in a 1/4 tsp. of vanilla. then you spread it on all the sides. use a fork and lightly drag lines across the long sides of it. then, take a knife and swirl it around the round side of it on each side. then srinkle some cinnamon on the top. to make it more interesting, grab som mini marshmellows and some kisses and toothpicks. stick the picks throu the marshmellows and kisses so they look like mushrooms and stick as many as you want (in groups) on a corner or the edge of the "log" then you can add powdered sugar on the "mushrooms" to make it look irresistable

Melt a pkg. of semi-sweet chocolate chips in a double boiler. Taking large marshmallows that have been chilled in freezer or refrigerator, dip them one at a time into chocolate and set on wax paper. Quickly put a pecan half on top. (use a dab of chocolate to hold in place if needed) Simple, easy, and delicious.

Another idea.

Buy a pkg. of muffin mix (flavor of your choice) and instead of putting in muffin cups, put in small loaf pan and bake. Slice and serve with honey butter. (1 stick butter + 2 tbs honey) Soften butter, mix well with honey, set in refrigerator to harden. Maple syrup can be used in place of honey for a different taste.

this is the best one i've seen--things you need (chocolate bark coating--maraschinno cherries with stems-hershey's kisses- any flavor- & sliced almonds)-this may seem complicated but it's not once you get the hang of it--trust me people love this. directions--melt the chocolate in a double boiler- dip the cherry- with the stem, let it cool for a second & then dip the kiss--attach the kiss to the cherry--hold until they stick--be careful at this point--now dip two pieces of sliced almonds & attach them to the head(kiss)=-at this point you have a cherry chocolate mouse--dress it up with eyes or what ever you can imagine. when it sets up--pick the mouse up by the tail& eat it all at once--i dare you to tell me there's anything better than that--if you do it right you'll be famous

This is good but, simple. You will need a box of Riiz crackers, peanut butter (smooth), chocolate almond bark, and wax paper. First you need to get the box of ritz crackers and the jar of peanut butter. Take two crackers and spread peanut butter in between to make a sandwich. Then you get some chocolate almond bark and melt it (follow the directions on the package). Dip the sandwiches in the bark and place them on wax paper tell harden. Place on plate and serve. It's easy and good.

Puppy chow is a great food for kids!! Not real dog food but the fake kind made of chex mix.The recipe is very simple, all you do is get a bag of chex mix and pour it into a bowl, then you take chocolate syrup or frosting and pour it in the bowl. After you've mixed it thoroughly, add in powdered sugar so they don't stick to your hands. let them harden then serve them in a large bowl.

How about a sizzling brownie sundae for everyone?

It involves a brownie to be placed on top of a HOT sizzler pan. then you put ice cream (i prefer vanila) on top and some whipped cream, and toppings like cashews and nuts can be added. The sizzler pan must be hot and then you pour the hot chocolate all over the ice cream so that it completely overflows the brownie and sizzles in the pan.

you can take a hershey kiss and a cherry and 2 almond slices and make a mouse by putting the flat part of the kiss on the cherry covered in chocolate. then make the ears out of the almond slices. nose and eyes are frosting and the cherry stem is the tail. it is good with those cherrys you get in a shirley temple drink

CHEX MIX

this is not seasonal, use it anytime of the year

3 cups rice chex

3 cups corn chex

3 cups wheat chex

1 cup salted nuts

1 cup pretzels

any amount of those (rye? the brown things found in chex mix)

3 tablespoons Worcester sauce for salt and w. sauce it doesnt matter if you want to double it for the recipe depends on how soggy or dry you want the chex.

1 tablespoon seasoned salt

1 stick of butter *(if you want use 2 it doesnt hurt, it makes more of it soggy, i like it when its soggy)

pre heat oven to 350.

in a pan (a big one) put the butter on pan and pan in oven.

take pan out when butter is melted

(while butter is melting)

mix s. salt, and w. sauce in a measuring cup

mix all dry ingreidients in BIG bowl.

(when butter is melted & pan is out)

evenly spread w. sauce and s. salt in pan with butter

evenly spread dry ingredients on top of the sauce.

put in oven for 15 minute intervals for one hour, at each interval

mix dry ingreidients so it all gets a chance in the sauce ( most of it wont be in the sauce. )

REALLY FUN TO DO WITH THE FAMILY.

hope that helps

Belly buttons! All you need are cross-hatched pretzels, hershey's kisses, and christmas m&ms. Lay the kisses on the pretzels and put them in the oven @ 300 for however long it takes them to get warm-but keep their shape. Take M&M pieces and press them into the softened kisses. Eat 'em warm or stick them in the fridge and the should last long (unless someone eats them of course!)

Mexican Wedding Cakes or Russian Tea CakesIt seems no matter the country, there is a version of this cookie. Whether you call it a Russian Tea Cake, a Mexican Wedding Cake, an Italian Butter Nut, a Southern Pecan Butterball, a Snowdrop, a Viennese Sugar Ball or a Snowball, this melt-in-your mouth, shortbread-like cookie is a favorite not just during Christmas but at weddings, christenings, and other festive occasions. Use whatever ground nut you prefer (pecans, hazelnuts, almonds, or walnuts), just be sure to use a good quality butter as this will determine the flavor of these little gems. The most distinctive characteristic of these snowballs is their coating of powdered sugar and to show this off, you may want to serve them in small foil candy cups.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper. Set aside.Toast Nuts: Place nuts on a baking sheet and bake for about 8 minutes, or until lightly brown and fragrant. Cool. Put the cooled nuts and 2 tablespoons (20 grams) of the 1/2 cup of confectioners' sugar into a food processor fitted with a metal blade. Finely grind the nuts and set aside. In the bowl of your mixer cream the butter and remaining confectioners sugar until light and fluffy (about 2 minutes). Add the vanilla extract. Add the flour and salt and beat until combined. Stir in the nuts. Cover and refrigerate the dough for about 1 hour or until firm. Form the dough into 1 inch (2.54 cm) balls and place 2 inches (5 cm) apart on the prepared baking sheet. Bake about 15 -20 minutes, or until light brown in color. Remove from oven and place on a wire rack to cool for about 10-15 minutes.Meanwhile, line another baking pan or tray with parchment or wax paper. Sprinkle about 1/2 cup of the confectioners' sugar on the bottom of the pan and then place the slightly cooled cookies on top of the sugar. Put the remaining 1/2 cup of sugar in a fine strainer or sieve and then sprinkle the tops of the cookies.Store in an airtight container. Makes about 3 dozen cookies.

1/2 cup (50 grams) toasted nuts (pecans, walnuts, hazelnuts)1 cup (227 grams) unsalted butter, room temperature1/2 cup (55 grams) confectioners' (powdered or icing) sugar 1/2 teaspoon (2 grams) pure vanilla extract 2 cups (280 grams) all-purpose flour 1/2 teaspoon salt Topping:1 cup (110 grams) powdered (icing or confectioners) sugar

Yes, a fun and easy thing to make for the family is cake in a jar, or all the ingredients for cookies in a jar. YOu can find recipes online for cookies and just layer them in a mason jar so you can see the different layers, throw a lid on it and a bow or two and you're all set. You'll buy all the ingredients in bulk so you save money. Buy two different kinds of chocolate chips, white and brown so not everyone gets the exact same jar.

This stuff is AMAZING and REALLY simple.

-It's called almond bark, and really doesnt taste like almonds at all.

-You'll need a decent amount of chocolate chunks (w/e chocolate you prefer)

-put them in a double boiler and let those melt.

when they are all melted pour in a whole bag of chocolate chips. and stir. when those are melted pour in a bag of Heath Bar toffee crumbles, (these don't melt, just mix them in)

then lastley add in a bag of cashews! (u can't taste these... just for texture)

-- pour them onto wax paper and form w/e shape (i prefer mini pancakes) then chill for like 20 min. HAVE FUN!

Try Oreo Truffles...they are delicious and easy to make.

1 lg. pkg. Oreo cookies

1 -8oz. block of cream cheese

In a large bowl crush entire package of oreos until all large pieces are broken up. Add softened cream cheese and "smoosh" it all together until it is evenly mixed.

Roll into 1" balls and place on cookie sheet in fridge for 1/2 hour or so. Meanwhile melt any kind of chocolate you like (Milk, white, dark etc) I use 1 bag of choc. chips and 1 tbs. butter and melt slowly. Dip each ball to cover in chocolate and return to cookie sheet. Place back in fridge to harden. These last a long time, store in covered container in refrigerator.

Festive Fudge using Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk, semi sweet chocolate and a little salt and vanilla. Melt the chocolate, add everything else and blend it over a double boiler (your spaghetti pot with and inch of water in the bottom and then a smaller pot in that with the chocolate in it) and you are good to go. 15 mins tops. You can add marshmallow or toffee chips or orange flavor (there are a lot of fudge variations on this site) but this year I am going with plain fudge with crushed candy canes on top. Here's the link:

i wonder with no disrespect sweetheart why do people celebrate something that is false because people christmas is surpose to be the day of the lords birth but before he died he said to celebrate his death not birth and the reason why theirs not a such thing is because if you look in the bible it states that he died before easter tand that would be between the end of march to the very begining of april and if thats the case christmas should be om that day because if you ever notice theirs always a full moon just before easter that also says in the bible that determins the day of his death in which he wanted us to celebrate.

Make Turtles.

You need: whole pecan halves, caramels (unwrap them), chocolate chips, an oven, butter, a cookie sheet, a spatula, and a microwaveable glass dish.

To prepare: butter the cookie sheet, heat the oven to about 250, unwrap the caramels, and melt the chocolate chips in the microwave (stir frequently 'til completely melted); you can add a bit of butter to the mixture if you wish.

To assemble the turtles, arrange the pecan halves in groups of three on the buttered cookie sheet. Place one unwrapped caramel on top of each group of three pecans.

To cook: Place in pre-heated oven for 5-10 minutes until caramel is soft. When caramels are very soft (they don't change shape, even when hot), remove from oven and using a buttered spatula, gently press the caramel over the pecans. Using buttered spatula (or knife), spread some of the melted chocolate chip mixture on top of each "turtle". Let cool completely. Enjoy.

you could make sugar cookies, gingerbread men and women, and my favorite are popcorn balls. What you do is

1. pop 1 bag of popcorn (make sure there's no kernels)

2. melt a half bag of marshmallows (be careful doing thing, 30-45 sec. in a microwave) and 1/2 cup butter

3. add colored koolaid to the marshmallow and mix until it's completely colored.

4. in a large bowl, combine the popcorn and melted marshmallows and stir up until it's all combined.

5. This is the fun part, cover your hands in softened butter and over a wax paper make about 2in. balls of the mix.

It taste great, and it's fun.

Rice Krispies Treats are the easiest. But try something else. I found this in Kraft FOod and Family magazine (its free at kraftfoods.com no I dont work for them)

Sweet Peanut Brittle:

5 min

1 cup sugar

1/2 cup light corn syrup

1 TBSP buttah

2 cups peanuts

1 tsp baking soda

1 tsp vanilla

4 squares semi sweet chocolate

SPRAY large baking sheet or 15x10x1-inch baking pan with cooking spray; set aside. Mix sugar and corn syrup in large microwaveable bowl until moistened. Microwave on HIGH 5 min. (CAUTION: Use pot holders as candy mixture gets very hot.) Stir in butter and peanuts. Microwave an additional 3 to 4 min. or until pale golden brown. Add baking soda and vanilla (mixture will foam.)

IMMEDIATELY spread mixture as thinly as possible onto prepared baking sheet. Cool completely. Break into pieces.

MICROWAVE chocolate in 1-cup glass measuring cup on HIGH 1 to 2 min. Stir until chocolate is completely melted. Stir in peanut butter until melted. Dip half of peanut brittle pieces halfway into chocolate mixture, scraping back of brittle against edge of cup to remove excess chocolate. Place on sheet of foil or wax paper. Refrigerate until chocolate is set, about 20 min.

I've made this before, and everybody liked it. I didn't make it in a wreath with the candied fruit; I just made it lin an 8x8 cake pan like regular fudge and omitted the currants. I also let it sit in the fridge for about an hour so it would really set. I replaced the chocolate chips with peanut butter for one batch (no nuts or currants), and that was just as good.

Five-Minute Fudge Wreath

1 (12-ounce) bag semisweet chocolate morsels

9 ounces (3/4 of a 12-ounce bag) butterscotch morsels

1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 (8-ounce) can walnut halves

1/2 cup (a couple of handfuls) currants

8-inch cake pan, lightly greased with softened butter

Candied cherries, red and green, for garnish, optional

Place a heavy pot on the stove and preheat it over low heat. Add chips and milk and stir until chips are melted and milk combined; save the empty condensed milk can.

My favourite desert to make. Caramalise brown sugar in a pan and mixed in sliced banana (whatever fruit you like; nana's are nice and grany for this); a dash of lime juice and a good amount of brandy/cognac and flambe the thing. Put into small dishes and top with vanilla ice cream. You can even shove them in a pancake and make a crepe. It literally takes 4 minutes. Merry Christmas. PS: don't worry about your kids getting pissed: it's the alcohol that burns off not the flavour. Besides, a shot'll calm them down this time of year. Bye now.

One of the easiest treats I know of is chocolate covered preztels. All you have to do is buy milk chocolate or white. The kind you want is sold in the cooking section of the store. Also, You need to buy preztels. Get a pan and put the chocolate in it. Melt the chocolate on a med-high setting on a stove. After the chocolate is melted, dip the preztels in the chocolate and lay them on wax paper. Put sprinkles to decorate them.(optional) Let them cool for about a hour. Enjoy!

How about buckeyes? They are so awesome & everyone raves about them. I'll give you my mom's recipe (I don't know the exact measurements):

Peanut butter

Rice Krispies

Powdered sugar

Chocolater for melting & dipping

Mix a small jar of peanut butter with about 1-2 cups rice krispies and add sugar until it tastes sweet enough. Roll mixture into 1" balls. Chill until semi-solid. Melt chocolate on VERY low heat (it'll burn easily). Dip PB balls by toothpicks into chocolate, take toothpicks out, and set on cookie sheets covered with waxed paper. Chill again until chocolate hardens & enjoy!

Peppermint bark! Melt a bag of Nestle chocolate chips with 1/2 a bag of white chocolate chips (use a microwave or a modified double boiler--you don't want the chocolate to burn so use low, low heat). APRICOT DIAMOND COOKIES (My husband's favorites!)

½ tsp salt

½ cup shortening

½ cup butter

8 oz. pkg. cream cheese (softened)

Spoon approximately ½ tsp. of pie filling in middle of each square. Bring two opposite corners to center and pinch together. Bake at 375 degrees for 8-9 minutes or until very lightly browned.

Buy a box of Lil' Debbie Gingerbread Men in the snack isle. They come 8 to a box for 1.29. Anyway - I wrap a small piece of plaid ribbon around each gingerbread man's neck and stick a little heart sticker over his heart (they are wrapped in cellophane). They look so cute in a basket and I usually put one on each person's plate.

If your family likes coconut then a really simple and great treat is strawberry candys. Mix a bag of coconut, can of condensed milk, 1 box of strawberry jello mix till well combined. Refrigerate for about 30 mins. Its can be in there for longer (serveral days, which makes it really flexible). When youre ready, shape small amounts (a little less than a tsp.) into strawberries and dip the larger end into green sugar. Then refrigerate. They are pretty, different and taste great!!! good luck

rice krispie treats...........add food coloring to make them red or green, sprinkle the top with red and green sprinkles. You can even add mini marshmallows to the mixture for that added 'ornament' look.

TAKE PHILLY CREAM CHEESE, CANNED CRAB MEAT, AND COCKTAIL SAUCE. POUR CRAB AND COCKTAIL SAUCE OVER BLOCK OF CHEESE. SERVE WITH TRISCUITS. IT SOUNDS AWFUL BUT IS WONDERFUL. YOU CAN MAKE IT DECORATIVE BY SHAPING CREAM CHEESE INTO CHRISTMAS TREE ETC.
