Special touch for the holidays?

What is something special/unique u do when decorating your home for the holidays?

-In addition to wrapping up paintings on the walls, you can "wrap" your front door and make a huge bow on that.



-You can fill any clear vases you have on display with candy canes or those small, pillow shaped red, green and white peppermints.



-Fill any glasses (like wine goblets) you may have on display with red and green confetti.



-Put a Santa hat and some big men's boots (you can get them for about $2.50 at Goodwill) by the door, or wherever you & your family or guests put their shoes when they come in. (It looks like Santa is over, haha!)



-Let the kids make snowflakes and decorate doorframes with them.



-Dig up every Christmas movie/dvd you might own and display them on your enterainment center.



-Most cities have a local radio station that plays only Christmas music around this time - play it often to put yourself in a good mood.

I don't really do anything special to the house, but when I wrap all my presents I make them look real fancy using a lot of curling ribbon and tying a inexpensive ornament or fake flower/holiday sprig to each gift (I buy the ornaments after the holidays when they're marked way down)- makes them look real fancy and pretty!

I wrap everything! I wrap the pictures on the walls to look like presents and then hang them back up. I wrap my kitchen cupboard doors. This year I even wrapped the light switch plates and the kleenex boxes.

I make popcorn balls and hang them on the tree.....my family loves it. Also mulled wine...they love that even better
