You should know this already. But yes you should get paid for it. I get paid even if I do not work the day of the holiday which includes christmas thanksgiving labor day, fourth of july, new years eve and new years day etc. You should if you get paid for the others.

New Years day, not eve, is the holiday most companies will pay holiday pay to u. Sometimes it matters if you work the day after whether or not you will get holiday pay. I really think you should ask your HR about the specifics.

depends on the state laws & your employer. i know in michigan its not required that employers pay anything above normal pay rates for working christmas or other holidays. it is totally up to the employer if they want to pay extra. i worked christmas day & got nothing extra.

Shouldn't you already know this?
Ask your employer.
